About The Founder Chris Armstrong: The Journey Behind ChaseReality.co

Vision and Motivation

• Inspiration: What inspired you to create ChaseReality.co? – The entire thing started as i was already working on a Virtual Tour business and that was doing quite well, It got to the point that the VR service provided needed a platform to be hosted along with images, stories and videos. Once the platform had been created and an Ai chatbot and a private messenger had been added along with a vast blog database Id realized the little VR business had morphed into a full blow Metaverse platform where most things one can do online could also be achieved.
• Core Values: What core values guide your work and the development of the platform? – The Core vales for the entire team and the platform is derived mainly from our military training. The majority of the team are ex-British military, ex-police and some even worked along side the British secret service. So in short, we all highly value security, determination, loyalty, trust and so on 🙂
• Personal Drive: What keeps you motivated and inspired? – Simply put, i love what i do, it touches everything just as anything you go online for. So although the team has a focus on privacy, Virtual locations captured over time (time capsuling), We can work with almost any industry just as most have websites, social pages and so on. This means we can offer the same and a virtual space in time which is an entire new way to work, play and create online. Its awesome.

Development and Team Building

• Idea Genesis: How did you come up with the idea for ChaseReality.co? – The idea I’ve had since I discovered the internet and saw its personal and business uses at the time but it never had anything i wanted directly so you find yourself searching for what you want. The point of the Metaverse is that its owned and operated in part by its creators and users and not just governments and big companies, now the little guy, the every guy gets a slice.
• Milestones: Can you share any interesting stories or milestones from the development process?
• Team Collaboration: How did you assemble your team and what qualities were you looking for in team members? To begin with I reached out to friends Ive known for years and that I can 100% trust with the idea, then have a chat and see if anyone wanted to help in any way. Once the project had grown regular posts where put out for users, businesses basically anyone who would like a website page built by the team and the only thing we wanted was that the user/owner would use it by sharing and updating the sub-domain as it takes up server space which costs. If users did not use their page of 3months or more we could if needed delete it to make room for others. So really many users also became partners and even part of the team.

Platform Features and User Experience

• Unique Selling Points: What makes ChaseReality.co stand out from other platforms? – Its free, no exchange of data is required like every single other platform requires. If Chase Reality does not have your data, we cant lose, sell or abuse it! Also as mentioned above, the user owns their space and not the platform. Unless the data is left for 3 months plus the users Virtual page, social page, private messages are theirs. Regarding data though, the platform performs random purges of messages as this is considered the most venerable and personal data.
• User Feedback: How do you incorporate user feedback into improving the platform? The platform does not only live on the domain but also on users devices and on other platforms such as FB where there is a social group for users and interested parties to reach out to each other and the platforms team.
• Decentralization Benefits: Why did you choose a decentralized, peer-to-peer model and what benefits does it offer? Privacy and self ownership. The issue with central servers is that of the server provider has access to and control over the hardware. By breaking up the data such as Images, VR content, Music, text documents and so on it means that if the platforms domain goes offline users can still have copies of content they have chosen to download to personal devices such as phones, laptops/desktop and so on. There is the added benefit to this, if a user goes offline due to being in a remote area without data coverage or perhaps traveling on an aircraft without access to wifi, they have 0 lag content right on the device in their hand or backpack. We have also been working on setting up a full offline/online Metaverse Internet alternative using social mesh networking as many people still either cannot afford internet access or simply do not have access to it. This also will enable 100% control and oversight by the users and platform as many countries are known for controlling access to content and pushing propaganda, which should never happen and frankly no one wants to be a part of. There should be border control, not control of the people of the world…We Are Not Slaves, Governments Do Not Own The People, They Work For Them.

Future Aspirations and Community Impact

• Growth Plans: What are your future plans for ChaseReality.co? – As mentioned above, to grow the platform, add mesh networking for offline private unmonitored use and availability to all.
• Technological Innovations: Are there any upcoming technologies you are excited to integrate? Yes and quite a few as of 2024 July, the platform had undergone a complete rebuild due to a coder mistakenly deleted the entire platform… Now that sounds like end of days but I had been planning on adding updates for the messenger, the VR aspects and adding in game like explorable VR environments which was difficult due to issue such as bugs, poor build as we were not web developers at the time and so on. So really the incident did the platform a favor and gave the team a kick up the you know what to get on and remake the platform significantly better in terms of loading speed, design, layout, virtual environments and experiences and so on. So in short, faster page, content and virtual loading speeds now with the option to download directly or via peer technology as well as the user offering content via peer uploading. Vastly improved virtual building software which will now create environments that are akin to Ready Player One, Mesh networking however this is going to take time and funding which is always in short supply…we know how to do it, but at scale we need serious funding.
• Community Impact: What impact do you hope the platform will have on its users and the broader community? Simply put, interest and usability for business and pleasure.

Personal Reflections and Advice

• Personal Growth: How has working on ChaseReality.co impacted you personally? – Its helped me to grow significantly, I’ve needed to lean all manner of core business skill, people skills and practical skills.
• Advice to Aspiring Creators: What advice would you give to someone looking to create their own platform? – Going it alone is a seriously difficult challenge amid it may not matter how tough you are as other factors such as financial, staff, deadlines to name a few can be out of your control, so try to plan ahead for these things. Ensure the end goal can be achieved with the bare minimum of everything, because as you grown outside factors such as economy and staff leaving or a difficulty in hiring can hinder daily operations. So build and create by design to run as lean as possible so in hard time scaling back is not of an issue but more of something to address and improve on.
• Hobbies and Interests: What do you enjoy doing in your free time and how do your interests influence your work? – Im into a little bit of everything, I quite enjoy computers and software but my passion is learning new things. To relax there is nothing better than time with the family and good friends.
• Philosophy and Mindset: What philosophy or mindset do you live by and how does it reflect in your work? – Stand by your word, know your self and work with the best and mort trustworthy and reliable people you can. Don’t give up, until its over.
